Dear Distinguished Members of Pleasant Valley Country Club,

I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season and are enjoying the very mild winter
we are having.   It is a very exciting time at PVCC, Leo and his staff have been providing
a refreshing country club dining experience since we have reopened January 20th.  Leo's
new menu has been very well recieved.  We have been very busy so come out and enjoy
your club.  Dining hours are Wednesday thru Saturday 11am-9pm and Sunday 11am-4pm.
Dining is available both upstairs and in the new sportsbar themed 19th hole.

Leo and our entertainment committee have been hard at work planning many upcoming
events. This Friday the 10th - Bar Bingo is back and Saturday the 11th is our Valentine's
Day dinner and show featuring "The Back in Time Band".  Reservations are recommended.
March 9th Scott Blasey (from the Clarks) will be performing a special dinner show in our
ballroom.  Also, March 17th there will be a St. Patty's Day Cash Bash to benefit the March
of Dimes in the ballroom.  There are many other events coming soon, including The
Presidents Ball, our Annual Nite at the Races and Indoor Golf!  So check out the PVCC
website for all of the latest upcoming events.

I am very excited to announce that after an exhaustive search we have hired Matt Sarsfield
as our new Director of Operations.  Matt is a PGA Professional with many years of country
club experience including time working inthe PVCC proshop.  Matt will be joining PVCC in
the next couple of weeks.  I hope you will all join me in giving him a big PVCC welcome.
Please note that the cart availability and Winter Pro Shop Hours will be from 11am-5pm.

I would like to thank Dave Angelicchio and Linda Dolfi, along with the entire Board of
Governers, for their time and efforts in the search process to hire our new Director of
Operations.  The Board and myself appreciate any and all suggestions on how we can
improve the membership experience here at PVCC.  So please drop off any comments in
the business office.  Also, we are looking for volunteers on all committees.  Please let the
office know if you are interested in assisting.

This is going to be a great year at PVCC, so please come out and enjoy your club!

ATTENTION PVCC MEMBERS

We hope you had the opportunity to experience Leo's Kickoff Menu and January's Bar Bingo.
We are happy to announce that both were a huge success. The first weekend under our new
menu we were able to serve close to three hundred members and/or guests. This is a
tremendous increase from what we have experienced over the last few years, the only
negative comments that the House Committee has been made aware of has been the length
of time that it has taken to be served. With this in mind we are requesting that all members
when planning on dining at Pleasant Valley Country Club please make sure you make an
advanced reservation by contacting the 19th Hole (724-628-6360 ext. 1). Due to large
turnouts, without a reservation we cannot guarantee timely seating. With this prior reservation
it will allow Leo and staff to properly prepare and serve you better.

ST. PATTY'S DAY CASH BASH

Excella Health March Of Dimes Team will be sponsoring a Saint Patty Day Cash Bash
on Saturday, March 17, 2012 at Pleasant Valley Country Club at 5 pm.  The cost of
tickets are $30 each which includes 3 numbers, food and beer.  Drawings will start at
6 pm.  If interested in purchasing a ticket please contact Connie Hill 724-547-9114.

Hello, my name is Matt Sarsfield and I am proud to be a
part of the Pleasant Valley Country Club family.  Some of
you may remember me from several years ago.  I got my
start in the golf business here at Pleasant Valley back in
1993.  I worked in the pro shop and bag room for 2 seasons.
Since then I have been able to work and learn from some
of the best PGA professionals and club managers in the
country.  I'm excited about this new chapter in mine and
my family's life. I hope to make all of your experiences
enjoyable.  I served as an apprentice in the PGA from 1995
to 2000 and proudly earned my Class A membership into
the PGA in 2001.  I plan to build a team that will provide a
dynamic experience for everyone who walks through the
doors of the club.  I hope that all of you will stop by to say
hello and I am looking forward to meeting everyone.  I want
to thank all of you for the opportunity to serve you.  See you
all soon!!!

           

Pleasant Valley Ladies Association 2012 annual dues and locker rental are now due.
Please update your information and forward (no later than March 1, 2012 to be included
in the association booklet), along with your payment ($10.00 annual dues plus $10.00
locker rental) to Donna Malesky, Pleasant Valley Country Club, 440 Pleasant Valley
Road, Connellsville, Pa.  15425.  Please make checks payable to Pleasant Valley Ladies
Golf Association.
