I want to thank all of the Members who attended the Annual Stockholders' Meeting on March 16th. The opportunity and
willingness for Members to exchange ideas and debate issues that are important to them, in the proper setting, is
paramount to our success as a Club. It also gives the Board of Governors a better sense of which issues, programs, and
initiatives are supported by the majority rather than a minority of the Members.
At the Stockholders' Meeting, Dan Harrer, Rich Jovan and Tom Havadich were elected to serve on the Board of Governors.
At the organizational meeting of the Board of Governors, following the Stockholders' Meeting, George Huck Rattay was
elected President by a unanimous vote of the remaining members of the Board.
The Board of Governors, Officers and Committee Chairpersons for 2009-2010 are as follows:
George Huck Rattay- President - Long Range Committee
Jim Davies - 1st Vice President - Membership and Publicity Committees
Dan Harrer - 2nd Vice President - Golf and Buildings Committees
Donna Malesky - Secretary/Treasurer - Finance & Personnel Committees
Paul Kendi - Board of Governors - Grounds Committee
Rich Jovan - Board of Governors - Entertainment Committee
Tom Havadich - Board of Governors - House Committee
Lee Dolfi - Grievance Committee
A schedule of the Meetings of the Board of Governors for the year will be posted in the 19th hole.
It is an honor to serve as your President and I will do everything in my power to protect the financial integrity of PVCC,
maintain the high level of service that you expect and deserve, and continue to make decisions based on what I believe to
be in the best interest of the Club and the majority of the Members.
How can you help at PVCC in 2009? Let us all be optimists not pessimists. The optimist promotes harmony, the pessimist
creates discord. The optimist looks for the best, the pessimist expects the worst. The optimist sees a green near every
sand trap; the pessimist sees a sand trap near every green.
Finally, let's start the golf season by participating this year in as many events as possible.
Respectfully Submitted,
George Huck Rattay

FROM THE PRO SHOP
Spring is here and it's time for golf. I'm looking forward to my 10th season at PVCC. Thank you to the Board of Governors
for extending my contract for three more years. The Golf Committee has arranged a great schedule of events for this year.
I'd like to encourage all members to participate in our club events, they are a lot of fun, and a great way to socialize and
meet other members.
Remember, prices for new golf equipment are the same everywhere now, except maybe ebay. I sell them for the same
price. If you want honest advice about fitting, and what clubs are best for you, please come see me. I have access to every
brand of clubs, and most orders are here in 7-14 days.
Exchange Days are almost finalized and will be in next month's newsletter. Copies will be available soon in the Pro Shop.
Have a great year, and I hope to see you all soon,
Matt
