As many of you know, because of other business obligations, I will not be seeking re-election to the Board of Governors.
It has been a pleasure to serve as your president. When I assumed that role a year ago, I pledged to do everything in my
power to protect the financial integrity of PVCC and maintain the high level of service that you expect and deserve.
Working with a Board, consisting of individuals that are truly dedicated to PVCC, I believe that we have achieved that goal.
I want to thank Donna, Dan, Rich, Paul, Jim and Huck for their commitment, support and service to our Club.
Memberships have decreased approximately 12% over the last 3 years and 37% over the last 10 years. Obviously, this has
resulted in a corresponding decrease in revenues and we have made every effort to contain costs and expenses without
reducing services to our members. In spite of this continued decrease in membership, PVCC enters the year with sufficient
liquidity and long range funds available for required maintenance projects and we are presenting a budget for 2009 without
any increase in dues.
Our long term viability, however, is predicated on stabilizing and increasing our membership base. Unless we add
members, our revenues will continue to decline and dues will need to increase in order to meet our obligations. We need
your help in soliciting new members. We are again offering a free one month membership to prospective members and the
orientation event is scheduled for April 16th. The Board has also authorized a 5% reduction in annual dues as an incentive
to any member that sponsors a new golf member. Click on buttons below to view and/or print further details about our free

The annual meeting of stockholders is scheduled for Monday, March 16, 2009 at 7:00 pm. Any member that is interested
in seeking a position on the Board, please call me or Marilynn so that we can add your name to the ballot in advance of the
meeting. We hope to see all stockholding members at the meeting.

I would like to congratulate Cindy Huffine on her recent promotion at handling the daily operations at Pleasant Valley
Country Club. Ian, Cindy and I will be working together to help make your dining and everyday club experience a memorable
one. We hope to see all of you at The Night At The Races so don't forget to place a bet on your favorite horse!!!!!! Also, a
new menu will be implemented this spring. I am sure this will be a great golf season to remember in 2009.
