Dear Distinguished Members:
"I'm dreaming of a White Christmas" sung by Bing Crosby, was always one of my personal favorites,
that is, until THIS YEAR! I am sick of snow, the word snow and I don't care if I ever hear what
used-to-be-my favorite song again! Not only am I sick of snow, I am sick of snow shovels, bags of
salt, windshield washer solvent, dirty cars, icicles that look and can be lethal, and of course, pot holes!
Now this IS Pennsylvania and we deal with pot holes year round, but when the pot hole sucks in your
car - like a "hole in one"…..we got problems!
I can't wait to hear and smell the sounds of Spring. No, not that first robin singing, or the grass and
daffodils growing, but what I would like to hear are the following:
Our annual stockholder meeting is scheduled for Monday, March 15, 2010 at 7:00 pm. If any member
is interested in seeking a position on the board, please call me or Marilynn so that we can joyfully add
your name to the ballot in advance of the meeting. We urge all of you to attend the meeting! Mark
your calendars - one month before our tax deadline. Groan!!!
It has really been a pleasure to serve as your president this past year, and working with Dan Harrer,
Paul Kendi, Donna Malesky, Rich Jovan, Jim Davies, and Tom Havadich!
It takes teamwork to have the wonderful facility that we enjoy here at PVCC! However, it also takes
money! As in every sector of our lives these days, as well as here at PVCC, money is in short supply.
Members, one way to solve a problem is to first recognize that there is a problem. Think about it!
I leave you with one of my favorite "lessons learned." "Success" - If there is any one secret of success
it lies in the ability to understand the other person's point of view and see things from his angle, as well
as from your own.
Who knows, when you see me in November, all tanned and fit from a good golf season, you just might
hear me humming - "I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas" - once again!

 Luck O' the Irish Party - Saturday Evening March 13th
Once again we will combine our Night at the Races and St. Patrick's Day celebration into a great
evening of fun. You will enjoy light wagering on the horses and a special buffet of Irish food which
includes: Apple & Bacon Salad with Cheese Dressing, Irish Lamb Stew, Irish Mashed Potatoes,
Reuben Casserole, Irish Cod Cobbler, Beacon Bruihe (Baked Mushrooms) & Bailey's Chocolate
Mousse - $14.95++. Price includes Coffee, Tea, Ice Tea or Soft Drink during Dinner. The evening
begins with cocktails at 6:00, post time 6:30. Please make your reservation.
Horses are for sale in the 19th Hole for $10 each, winners pay $50. Also, we will need volunteers

With the hopes of winter soon behind us, we are gearing up for a new season. We have a lot
of events lined up for the coming season along with our new menu. We will also be featuring
tempting daily specials.
Wednesday Nights will continue to be Burger & Beer Night with a creative new burger each
week. Steak night will remain on Thursday Night.
The Night of the Races will be held on Saturday, March 13th. Come out and enjoy a delicious
Irish Buffet. Our monthly Candle Light Dinner Night will be held on Friday, March 19th. We offer
an elegant 3 course dinner with music. Sunday Brunch will be held on March 14th & March 28th

Due to the severe weather this past winter there are numerous trees on the golf course that has received damages such
