Dear Distinguished Members:
It has been my pleasure to serve as your president this past year.  I have
especially enjoyed working with these fine individuals:  Jim Davies, Dan Harrer,
Tom Havadich, Rich Jovan, Donna Malesky, Chuck Moore and Merle Shields.

Our greatest fixed asset is our Golf Course.  As you all know, from a financial
standpoint, the cost to maintain our course is the same if 100 people play daily
or if no one is playing.  We therefore need to come up with more creative ways
to attract players!

Our Annual Stockholder Meeting is scheduled for Monday, March 21, 2011 at
7pm at the Pleasant Valley Country Club.  You are all urged to attend!  Mark
your calendars!  Any member who is interested in seeking a position on the
board is asked to please call either me or Marilynn and we will joyfully add
your name to the ballot in advance of the meeting.

I personally can hardly wait to hear and smell the sounds of spring.  We did
have great news from our neighbor to the north of us - Punxsutawney Phil...
he saw his shadow!  Winter is over!  Spring is right around the corner!  

Golf! Golf! Golf! and more Golf!    

I will leave you now with this closing thought:  "Be all that you can be and
have a good life!  Don't be too serious about life, have fun with it."

Luck O' the Irish Party / Night at the Races
Saturday Evening, March 19th
Once again we will combine our Night at the Races and St. Patrick's Day
celebration into a great evening of fun.   You will enjoy light wagering on the horses
and a special buffet of Irish food which includes: Irish Pub Salad, Irish Roast Pork
with Potato Stuffing, Baked Pasta with Cheese and Stout, Baked Chicken with
Fennel Wild Mushrooms and Cream, Corned Beef and Cabbage, Duchesse
Potatoes Stuffed with Spinach and Cheddar Cheese and Black & Tan Brownies
topped with Baileys Whipped Cream.  $14.95++ Per Person.

The evening begins with cocktails at 6:00, post time 6:30, dinner at 7:30.
Please makeyour reservations.
Horses are for sale in the 19th Hole for $10 each, winners pay $50.   Also, we will
need volunteers to assist Terry Gross, Linda Dolfi and Carolyn Jovan with the

I hope that everyone is as happy as we are that Spring is just around the corner!
The Night at the Races will be held on Saturday, March 19th.  This is a great night
to come out and enjoy a delicious buffet and socialize with the members.  Give us a
call at 724-628-6360, ext 2 if you are planning on attending so that we can prepare

ANOTHER NOTE:
If your grips are hard, shiny, cracked or have worn finger marks, it's probably time
to replace them.  A worn grip will tend to make you grip the club too tightly, which
in turn will reduce hand action through the swing.  Good hand action or wrist release
at the proper time is the key to longer shots, that's what makes the tour players
look so effortless.

Aerification of the fairways will take place on September 6, 2011 and will be
completed when time and weather allows.

Aerification of greens will take place on September 26, 27, 28, and 29, 201
(weather permitting).
