Dear Distinguished Members of the Pleasant Valley Country Club:
I am feeling absolutely wonderful - the weather is finally nice, the birds are chirping, several of us have
been out there playing 18 holes already - life is good!! My sincere hope is that each and every one of
you echo my sentiments this fine day!
Speaking of playing golf - I am still marveling at how wonderful the course looks! Even with that harsh
winter we had, the greens never looked so good. Kudos to Mark & Tom and their crew! What a great
job they are doing.
Welcome to our new members! We are all happy to have you join our club and we look forward to many
years of good times through our club association with you.

Mother's Day is May 9th. Should you be lucky enough to still have your dear mom, please, pick up that
phone, send those flowers, and take her to dinner. Many of us "wish" we had still had the opportunity to
do so.
Lastly I wanted to say a few words on complaints that I have been receiving. I respectfully request that
each of you be aware of our bylaws, specifically Article XV, Page 23 of the General Provisions Section.
This article gives very specific instructions for reporting anything you may observe, i.e. inappropriate
conduct, misuse of equipment, non-compliance of club rules by a member, etc., that you feel needs to
be addressed. Many times, you are verbally complaining to me, however without following the guidelines
set up for such complaints, there is really nothing I, as your president, can do to rectify the situation.
Should you not wish to issue a "formal" complaint in writing, then, I ask that you simply speak up and
handle the situation with the member, at the time that something is happening. We, as adults, should
certainly be able to talk one-on-one with each other and come to an amicable solution to any situation
that might arise.
Sincerely,
George "Huck" Rattay
