Dear Distinguished Members of Pleasant Valley Country Club,
It's November already and another golf season has come and gone. I would like to
thank all of the members that played in our outings this year. I hope everyone enjoyed
golf appreciation day. Now that golf is coming to an end, you can still come out and
enjoy the many events we have planned in November and December.
I would like to inform everyone that your Board of Governors has come to an agreement
for food service at PVCC for the short term as well as into the future! We have reached
an agreement with Leo Wisniewski from Grille 31 to take over the food service for the
full year 2012 starting January 20th. We are very excited with the ideas and enthusiasm
that Leo and his sons will bring to PVCC. Due to the fact that Leo was not able to start
at PVCC until January 2012, we had to find someone to help us get through the
remainder of the year. Thanks to the tireless efforts of Chuck Moore, we found a
solution. In the short term, Carson's Catering has agreed to provide PVCC with food
service from November 1st thru December 31st! We believe that our membership will
be very satisfied with these new arrangements. We think these actions will provide our
membership with a new level of dining experience now and into the future.
The hours of operation for dining from now until the end of the year will be - Closed
Monday and Tuesday. Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 11am to 8pm and the bar will
be open until 10pm. Saturday dining hours are from 11am to 8pm and the bar will be
open until 11pm. Sunday from 10am until 4pm and the bar remains open until 7pm.
On weekends if the bar is busy it will remain open longer. Carson's will be having their
famous Italian buffet on Saturday nights and will also be offering a Sunday brunch!
So please come out and support them and your club! Also, they will have two seatings
for our Thanksgiving Buffet at 11am and 2pm. So make your reservations early and let
us do the cooking!
As mentioned last month, the Board of Governors and Matt Gotto reached an agreement
to allow Matt to leave PVCC on October 31st. I would like to thank Matt for his 12 years
of professional service to PVCC and it's members. Matt is a good friend and we wish
him well in the future. Now that PVCC has ownership of all pro shop merchandise, I
would like to announce that everything is on sale at 30% off until the end of 2011!
Please come in and pick up some good buys for yourself or as gifts. November and
December pro shop hours are as follows: Monday thru Friday 9am to 5pm and Saturday
& Sunday from 8am to 5pm. Thank you for your cooperation.
We have moved the President's Ball to sometime in late January or February. More
info to come. I would like to thank Tom, Mark and our grounds crew for a great job in a
tough weather year!
Attention stockholders: The Annual Stockholder's Meeting starts promptly at 7pm on
Monday, November 21st. Keith Happ will be speaking about the present and future of
our course at the beginning of our meeting. Thank you in advance for your attendance.
My closing thought, Thank a Veteran on Veteran's Day and exercise your right they
fought for by voting on Election Day and give thanks on Thanksgiving day.
